  5. The Hostess i/S is a two-port high-performance intelligent synchronous
  6. controller designed for high-speed network connectivity in ISA compatible PCs.
  7. It features an on-board 12 MHz NEC V53 processor with 128K of dual-ported RAM.
  8. Memory can be expanded to 8Mb. The Hostess i/S can be configured with two
  9. synchronous ports at 1.1 megabits per second or two asynchronous ports with
  10. data rates up to 115Kb. There are two DB15 connectors on the controller. Both
  11. ports are supported by four DMA channels for full duplex operation. A Software
  12. Developer's Toolkit is available. A 16MHz processor is optional.
